Mountain Biking in Morocco (VTT)

For riders, the Atlas is a playground of mule tracks, high passes and long descents. Our thirteen-day VTT adventure leaves Marrakech for the Ait Bouguemez valley at the foot of M’Goun, then rolls through the Red Valley, past the natural bridge of Imi n’Ifri and across the Valley of Roses before reaching the volcanic landscapes of Jbel Saghro and the Draa Valley. The return leads via the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou and the Tichka pass.

Expect daily stages of roughly 20 to 65 km on tracks and rocky trails, with steady climbs and descents, so the route suits intermediate to advanced riders in good shape. A professional mountain bike guide leads the way, a 4×4 support vehicle follows, and nights are spent in village lodges, guesthouses and one desert bivouac. The trip runs from two riders, and bike rental can be arranged. Prices are on request.
