Local guides, born in the Atlas

Dream Travel Morocco is a Marrakech-based team of local guides led by Mustapha Ait Benali, who comes from the Atlas Mountains. Trekking is what we know best: summit days on Toubkal, long traverses towards M'Goun, the red villages of Ait Bouguemez and the volcanic ridges of Jbel Saghro and Jbel Siroua.

From the mountains we also lead you into the Sahara by camel, out on day trips from Marrakech and through Morocco's great cities. Every itinerary is built for your dates, your group and your fitness, and we take care of transport and accommodation, from riads and mountain auberges to village homes and desert camps, so you can simply walk, look and listen. Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are best for the Atlas, with mild days and little rain. For the Sahara, aim for March–April or October–November; summer is very hot in the desert, and winter brings snow to the high peaks, so winter ascents need extra gear.

No previous trekking experience is needed for most trips: we have routes for every level, from easy valley walks to challenging summits. Toubkal ascents and long traverses call for good fitness, and the 13-day mountain bike tour is for intermediate to advanced riders.

We mainly organise tailor-made trips for your own group, whether you travel solo, as a couple, with friends or as a family. Tell us your group size when you get in touch and we will plan the guide, transport and accommodation to match.

Yes. Our day trips include door-to-door pick-up from your riad or hotel in Marrakech, and our multi-day tours start from Marrakech. Just tell us where you are staying when you send your request.
